How to Clean Puppy Pee from a Carpet

Dog is a man’s best friend until they pee on the carpet.

You may be potty training your puppy, or perhaps your dog was alone for a long period of time, at some point you will most likely experience a dog pee accident and, most likely, it will be on the carpet.

Here are some tips for removing Dog Urine from Carpet

1. Paper and Soap

The best time to remove the urine is when the pee is fresh. Mix a few drops of soap and water and blot the area with a paper towel. Try not to rub the area as it forces the urine into the carpet fibers. A hands-free method is simply putting the paper towel on the spot and pressing it with your feet.

2. Baking Soda and Vinegar

If you didn’t find the pee until it dried, try baking soda and vinegar on the spot and let it to sit overnight. Then in the morning, put a little more vinegar over the soda and let it sit for about five minutes before dabbing it with a paper towel. The mixture for cleaning urine is: in a spray bottle put 1 cup of both water and vinegar, along with two tablespoons of baking soda in a spray and shake well. Spray this directly on the spot, allow it to rest for five to six minutes, then blot.

3. Hydrogen Peroxide

Another excellent pet urine remover is hydrogen peroxide. Just put some into a spray bottle, soak the stain in a few sprays, for about 10 or 15 minutes. To finish the job, clean it up with a rag but don’t rub: dab or blot.

4. Enzymes

There are great odor and urine removers on the market today that use enzymes to clean.
